National Pick Strawberries Day falls on May 20. Strawberries are a summer fruit that are loved and cherished by many for the nostalgia of sunny days they bring. A fun activity in itself, strawberry picking allows for quality time to be spent with nature and loved ones.

- Terrapin Orchards: 1063 US-20 E., Elizabeth., IL 61028: Terrapin Orchards invites you to pick fruit and enjoy a day in the sunshine. They have about four acres of strawberries and offer a wonderful pick-your-own experience.
- Braffet Berry Farm: 9010 E. 2250 North Rd., Carlock, IL 61725: The Braffet Berry Farm is located in Central Illinois in the northwest part of McLean County. Owners Curt and Peggy Braffet have been growing strawberries since 1995. You are invited to visit with your family to enjoy picking your own beautiful juicy berries.
- Crosswind Farms: 14435 W. Manhattan-Monee Rd., Manhattan, IL 60442: Crosswind Farms offers some amazing, healthy outdoor fun and berry picking. They want to share the love of their farm by offering you-pick options.
