The IHSA partnered with CSN and CSNChicago for a “March Madness”-style bracket challenge to let the fans and fanatics decide the most unique mascots in the state. The original field of 64 was announced earlier this month. Weekly online voting already narrowed the field to the sweet 16.

Voting on those matchups resumes at noon today at in what is the latest celebration of the fantastic high school sports mascots in this state.

The Fulton Steamers and Cobden Appleknockers were sent home, while the Fisher Bunnies and Polo Marcos remain alive.

Each week, the voting round opens on Monday at noon and ends at 4 p.m. Thursdays. For up to the minute updates, news and trivia regarding the teams in "Mascot Madness," be sure to follow @CSNPreps on Twitter.
